Topics Search

The topic search option helps you to find documents that fit into a certain thematic context. The results list will then be according to your preference. The results that do not fit the specified topic will be sorted to the bottom of the list. You will see a message indicating when the topics focus ends and the general results begin. You can then choose to continue scrolling through the results or try a new query without the topic focus.

How does the topic search work?

Seekport's topic recognition is not manually edited, but works on the basis of automatic text analysis. If a page does not contain enough text for our robot to analyse (for instance a Flash page), it will not be assigned a topic. You will find these documents in your results list if you do not focus on a topic. The topic bars will be missing for these results.
